Descripción del proyecto
Chronic diseases account for three-quarters of all deaths in the world (OECD, 2019). In the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region, the greatest impact on the number of deaths, causes of disability and public spending is produced by three diseases in this category: diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). In the context of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, patients with DM, obesity, hypertension and / or CVD represent between 40% and 50% of deaths from COVID-19 in LAC. ProsperIA intends to promote the prevention and spread the early diagnosis of chronic diseases with the highest incidence in countries of the LAC region (DM, hypertension and CVD), through the development of risk assessment systems whose innovation is based on four pillars: high precision, accessible, adaptive input acquisition, and equitable with subpopulations such as the female and indigenous population.
